Carmelo Anthony drove to the hoop and made a spectacular scoop shot on Dirk Nowitzki as the Denver Nuggets knocked out the Dallas Mavericks and advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 1985.

Ron Artest Takes Kobe’s Elbow To The Neck

Ron Artest was ejected from last night’s  2nd game of the second round series between the Lakers and the Rockets. Artest took an elbow in the the neck from Kobe Bryant which apparently did not attract the attention of the referees so he decided to take matters in to his own hands and got up in the grill of Black Mamba to let it be known he was not particularly happy with the shot. Artest was definitely worthy of a technical foul  but not an ejection. It will be interesting to see if play gets more physical in Game 3.
