Ron Artest Takes Kobe’s Elbow To The Neck

Ron Artest was ejected from last night’s  2nd game of the second round series between the Lakers and the Rockets. Artest took an elbow in the the neck from Kobe Bryant which apparently did not attract the attention of the referees so he decided to take matters in to his own hands and got up in the grill of Black Mamba to let it be known he was not particularly happy with the shot. Artest was definitely worthy of a technical foul  but not an ejection. It will be interesting to see if play gets more physical in Game 3.

Kobe Bryant will unveil his new signature shoe for the 2008-2009 season, the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, in an upcoming game against the Miami Heat this December 19. The new kicks in the Zoom line are low-tops to satisfy Kobe’s desire to have the lightest shoe possible. ‘Carpe Diem’ is printed in gold on the tongues. Nike will be launching a new Kobe apparel line in the new year as well so it looks like Bryant is has been deemed marketable by Nike once again.
